By the time he reached his teens, the Cranks had moved to central Tennessee where George would attend R.O.T.C. and occasionally sit in with the local country bands, further broadening his skills as a musician and vocalist. Upon completing his second year of college in his home state of Michigan, George founded Artistic Creations and Entertainment, a small promotional company that was established with the purpose of sharing his experience with the local youth. Utilizing his knowledge of the production and recording process, he would provide a stage for new groups and promote numerous Church functions and various other local, city, and state events. Still, his primary focus was to perform and promote gospel music of his own. Honing his song writing abilities since his youth, George has put his heart and soul into creating new material and building a catalog of songs which range in a variety of gospel styles, from blues to bluegrass and everything in between. Within the next few years he would either manage, promote, or work with such christian artists and groups as Arthur Reed, The Flint Southern Aires, Kindred for Christ, Tommy Crank, and of course The Crank Family, all while continuing to build his own experience. Now working toward a full-time music ministry, George travels regularly throughout much of the mid-west, sharing his personal testimony and spreading the word of God through song and praise.
Most recently he has been featured on the Crank Family debut CD "To Please the Lord" and is currently in the studio
working on his forthcoming bluegrass production as a tribute to his dad. This new project titled "Sermons, Songs &
Photographs" features George along with special guests Chuck Crank, Jen Sygit and a great host of bluegrass, folk,
and country musicians which are sure bless you.
